Katharina Anna Sodoma is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Philosophy at LMU Munich. Before coming to Munich, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Duisburg-Essen working on a project on interpersonal understanding and affective empathy. She completed her PhD in Philosophy at the University of Vienna in April 2020 with a dissertation on moral relativism and the possibility of moral progress.

Research interests

Katharina’s research focuses on topics at the intersection of ethics and political philosophy, epistemology, and philosophy of mind. She is currently working on the role of affective empathy in social and political contexts. In addition, she is interested in feminist philosophy, philosophy of language, and the history of analytic philosophy.
